Strimple conducted the Los Angeles Zimriyah Chorale in an evening concert honoring the great-granddaughter of composers Arnold Schoenberg and Eric Zeisl. The program included the complete Opus 50 choruses of Schoenberg, the premiere of Zeisl's Psalm 129 and the premiere of a new organ work, From Generation to Generation, by Samuel Adler.

Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church - Beverly Hills, CA

For this city-wide Interfaith event, Nick Strimple prepared an evening concert exploring the theme of 'Angels' in Protestant, Jewish and Catholic music. Under his baton,
the combined members of the Choral Society of Southern California, the Los Angeles Zimriyah Chorale, “La Vie,”
and the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir performed works by Tchaikovsky, Handel, Hassler, Mendelssohn, and modern composers Gabriel Fauré, William Sharlin, Moshe Rothblum, David McKinley Williams, and Nick Strimple. Vocal soloists included Catherine Cooper, Tara Smith, Cantor Judy Dubin Aranoff, Cale Olson and Cantor Ira Bigeleisen. During the same program, Michael Isaacson premiered his new work, Five Angels, a harp duet with reader.

The 30th Annual Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church Christmas Concert featured Cindy Crawford reading the Christmas Story and Strimple conducting Handel's Messiah. To help re-build the Malibu Presbyterian Church, which was destroyed in the October 2007 fire, the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church donated proceeds from this concert to the Malibu church's rebuilding campaign.

Strimple was invited to give a lecture/concert for the 60th Annual International Cantor's Assembly. Assisted by the USC Thornton School of Music Chamber Choir (directed by Dr. Magen Solomon) and student soloists, Strimple presented a program of rarely heard music composed in hiding, before deportation, and in Nazi concentration camps and ghettos. Highlights included authentic recordings made in the camps and Cantor David Kane performing songs he was forced to sing in Auschwitz.

Strimple conducted the WORLD PREMIERE of his Harpsichord Concerto with David Lowe, harpsichordist and members of the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra.
